Stiverne set to be First Haitian Heavyweight Champion of the World !

MEXICO CITY, Mexico  - Bermane Stiverne will fight to become the absolute and undisputed heavyweight champion of the world sometime in the first 3 months of 2014. Stiverne only needs to beat Chris 'The Nightmare' Arreola, whom he beat handidly in 2013, in order to become the World Boxing Council's heavyweight champ.

After Vitali Klitschko announced his retirement and was named emeritus champion, the WBC ordered a title fight between the two best heavyweights, ordering their respective promoters, Don King Productions and Goossen-Tutor Promotions, to initiate negotiations.
Stiverne-Arreola II was born and if the two sides cannot come to an agreement by January 17, rights to the fight will be auctioned according to have to go to auction, if not reach agreement until 17 January.
Stiverne, the WBC's Silver medal heavyweight knocked out Ray Austin on June 25, 2011 with an assault in the tenth to win the WBC Silver heavyweight title. In April 2013 he successfully defended his silver belt, winning a unanimous 12-round decision to a badly beaten and bloodied Chris Arreola.
Asked if Klitschko's retirement disappointed him, Stiverne said:
"I'm not disappointed that I will not fight Klitschko. All that matters now is get my hands on the green belt and become the first heavyweight champion of Haiti."
"I've got the best team to take care of these matter's. Not my concern about where or when. My job is to be ready when the time and date arrives..."
"My performance will be flawless. I'll will knock Chris Arreola's ass out."
